Hola Amigos !
Today we woke up early to go to Chichen Itza, we took a collectivo in the center of the town and in 45 mins we were at the gate of one of the New Wonders Of The World. If you wanna read more about Chiche Itza it's HERE (coming soon).
Shooting session, laughing and messing around, walking under the sun, under sade, under the sun again... this is a good summary of the day !
Faune and flora of the ruins of Chichen Itza : iguanas, butterflies thousands of them : white, yellow, oranges..., really busy hard working ants and flashy yellow caterpillars...
We were back in Valladolid around 2.30pm and decided to go and visit the convento and at the same time the town because we had to cross it to get to the convento. The streets are small, most of the street in Mexico are one way. Valladolid is a really charming town, with little flat houses multicolor, a bit like Oaxaca. I like it.
Covento de San Bernardino : it's an old convent that nos is used as a museum. It was founded around 1550. It looks like a medieval stronghold with it's high walls. Inside the walls are pink, which is quite surprising but nice. There is a terrace in the middle of the building and one floor. A church is attached to it and there is a garden with a well and a cenote.
It closed at 5pm so we went back slowly home. We spent most of the evening out, eating and people-watching in the Zocalo (my favorite activity since we are here !!).
