Buenos dias!
We got up early, and went back to the main touristy street as yesterday, but this time on broad day light. We stop for breakfast at this really cool restaurant. They had swings around the bar and the celing was covered of notes (bills) from all over the world!
Then to digest we took a walk on the white sandy beach and we looked for the pier to go to Cozumel.
Once the pier found and tickets bought, we made our way back to the hotel to pick our back up. On the way we stop and had a look at this really strange looking church. They had a wedding inside, it was really nicely decorated.
We took a boat with ULTRAMAR for Isla Cozumel. It took a little over 40 minutes, but for those who know me, it was enough to make me sea sick unfortunately.
No time to find a hostel that already people are jumping on us asking if we want to snorkel. They assure us that they will keep our bag and that now is the best time to go. So we follow! Sun cream on, swim suit on, in a little boat, ready to discover what the water around Cozumal has to offer. Our boat as a viewing window in the middle of it, it allows us to see various wreck.
We fed some fish with bread and saw that the reef did not have much to offer due to previous hurricanes. The goverment implanted in the water some kind of giant concrete balls with a hole in it, for the fish to have a home and the coral to grow on, it seems to be working. Also we took some silly underwater pics
Back on the island, we pick our bag up and looked for a hostel.
Once the hostel found, and the bedroom booked, we went for a walk. e!arly that evening we went looking for a motorbike. This is when I learnt that Damien could not cycle and that it would be my job, SCARY!!!! We went for dinner and to finish the day, we practise driving the motorbike later that night on an empty parking lot. I got the hand of it, but then I realised Damien could really not cycle even on a motorbike, I was so scared just to see him try!!
Buenas noches!
