It's the D-day !!!! I'm so excited, even the grey sky can't altered my mood !!! In a few hours I'm gonna be in his arms !!
The 3 girls we woke up around 8.30am to take a nice breakfast on the roof. Then it's packing time, Meg is leaving for Tulum at 10am she was gone. I toke a shower and made myself pretty and girly again !! While Nickie was trying to make everything fit in her luggage, she is leaving for New-York this afternoon.
We check out at 11am but stayed a bit in the hostel, they kept my luggage, I don't want to take it to the airport with me. Before going to the ADO station, we tried to find a waterproof, disposable camera, but we couldn't find one... 12 : bus time, half an hour later we were in the airport. Terminal 3, only for the american airlines. The queue was fine. When she checked in, we sat in Starbucks, had the most expensive Wrap and Muffin and had a small fight with the waitress who gave me my change in dollars.... I don't want dollars, and then she tried to steal some pesos... GRRRRRR
1.40pm time to say goodbye, and to catch the free shuttle to go to Terminal 2. Nickie is coming to London for 8 months in September, so I hope i'm gonna see her again ! 2pm : I was in my post, in front of the arrival exit, in the middle of all the workers picking up people for Hotels, or travel agencies. I was surexcited !!! ... for a while, and then hot, bored, scared he missed his plane, tired to stand up...
1 hour ans 30 minutes later, here he is, all my tiredness, anxiety and other problems just vanished and I jumped in his arms !! It felt so good ! After our reunion. We left the arrival part to find a bus to go back to Cancun Downtown. Back in the hostel around 4pm, picked up my bag and then we left to find a collectivo for Puerto Jarez (in front of the Mac Donald). At 5pm, we had our tickets for Isla Mujeres.
20 mins later (of agony for me...) we arrived on the island. It's time to wander in the streets of the main town to find the hostel I booked for 3 nights. Nice backpackers told us the way. Wow it's a really nice place (photos tomorrow). We went in our room and left it only a few hours later, after some rest un unpacking, to eat.
We went first by the beach, to put our feet in the water !! So nice and hot. On the horizon we could see lightnings, it was really nice. Then we went in the town to find a place to eat: The main street with all the restaurant for tourist were so expensive that we walked away. We nearly gave up and went back there, when we found a really nice place.
After diner we went back home, both tired. It rained all night, it's the end of the hurricane we had a few days ago. So the night was not completly restfull.
